moonroof vs. sunroof: What’s the difference?

Moonroof and sunroof are now usually used interchangeably to refer to the same thing—a window in the roof of a car. Formerly, the distinction was sometimes made that a sunroof involves a removable, nontransparent panel, while a moonroof has a transparent panel.
