With that scene, in particular, I sort of channeled the “Bridemaids” scene on the plane, which I know sounds wild, but it was important to have these moments with Rona where she’s tragic but there’s almost like this comedic element to her, like she’s trying to be funny and she’s loving what she’s sort of bringing in that scene.
English is her second language, so she sort of approached the script loosely, in terms of the dialogue, which meant that you had to contribute a lot of the lines that we hear from Rona.
